YOUnified is an annual community service initiative that celebrates YSEALI’s anniversary every December and the power of YSEALI members to positively transform their communities across Southeast Asia. The YOUnified campaign in the Philippines is a special event to recognize youth's contribution to improve communities this year - even in the middle of a pandemic.
YOUnified combines the words YOUTH and UNIFIED to demonstrate YSEALI members’ ingenuity in developing solutions to local, national, and regional challenges.
As part of this year’s YOUnified celebration in the Philippines, YSEALI Alumni Mobilization Program through Leadership and Influence to Filipino Youth (YSEALI AMPLIFY) Batch 4.0 and the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines will recognize youth organizations with notable achievements in helping communities across the country this year, amid the ongoing pandemic.
Launched in 2013, the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) is the U.S. government’s signature program to strengthen leadership development and networking in Southeast Asia. Through a variety of programs and engagements, including U.S. educational and cultural exchanges, regional exchanges, and seed funding, YSEALI seeks to build the leadership capabilities of youth in the region, strengthen ties between the United States and Southeast Asia, and nurture an ASEAN community. Today, the network has more than 150,000 members across Southeast Asia, including more than 27,000 members from the Philippines. The winners in each category will be announced during a virtual awarding ceremony on December 19, 2020, and will receive a plaque of recognition, P50,000 project grant and other prizes.
